Troy Lee Designs Gear is the expensive prom date. Before you even ask; she has the looks, but she is certainly going to cost you a pretty penny to take her to the track. Let alone for a ride.
Ever since Troy was signing Troy Lee Designs on the side of MC and Bradshaw’s visors, I was a fan. Remember flipping through Dennis Kirk and getting to the TLD section? That page didn’t need a crease, the magazine flopped open to it every time. Some of the coolest graphic and helmet paint jobs can from this crew- clean, trendy, sexy lines. All the same things I liked about the high end prom date, ten years later. Oh yea, but damn was she pricey.
For those of you that have never taken that expensive prom date out, have always shopped on the discount rack, and never purchased TLD gear- it is worth it? Simply, Yes. Think of her has the piece you want to take out to show the town. You won’t wear it for muddy days, just like you wouldn’t take that blonde out on a rainy day in the winter. Get her out in the summers sunshine, slip her into her bathing suit… same here.
TLD gear is pricey, but when you utilize it you will feel supreme. Cost of TLD gear is not just paying for looks though. The ride quality is excellent. This stuff can take the mileage. The leather is of a fine italian small pore make. Silky smooth and easy on the legs, and eyes. Touchable almost. And durability on TLD gear seems to hold strong, especially when you don’t drag her through the mud. That is, unless you want to.
