- Are the claims they make about competitors neck braces true?
- Why don’t other companies produce simple to understand videos like this?
- It seems the AMA and FIM should invest in some private testing, maybe done by a couple different places and see which, if any of these neck braces do anything and what injuries the different available neck braces do (or don’t) protect against.
I’m super passionate about protection in MX, but sometimes wonder what stuff actually works? It would be great if there was some sort of standardized testing – even though this is hard to do because at some point someone ends up in someone’s pockets. The general design of helmets hasn’t changed in years and, really, who’s to say an expensive Shoei is any better than a cheap KBC? There’s a bunch of neck braces (Leatt, Alpinestars, EVS, Atlas, Omega, etc…) out each claiming to be the best, but what’s the truth?
I kind of started ranting there, the video is interesting though, so watch it.
