MSR Comp Soxx Price: $25.95
Design: The design is great! I’ve always wondered why we wore thick mx socks and knee brace sleeves under pants when trying to stay cool in the summer. It appears that a few companies have caught onto this and started making thinner, more well vented socks with built in knee brace sleeves.
Fit: The MSR Comp Soxx are too short for me, they barely come up above my knee braces. I like to flip the top of my brace sleeves over the top of my knee braces so the sleeves don’t slide down. I can’t do this with th MSR Comp Soxx.
Comfort: The Comp Soxx are much cooler than typical long, thick mx socks. The sock and brace sleeve are both very thin and don’t hold much heat in. They are thin, light and comfy.
Quality: The build quality of the MSR Comp Soxx is definitely not all that good. The elastic cuff at the top of the brace sleeve part ripped off when I was pulling them up the 2nd or 3rd time I wore them. I quit wearing them at that point, who knows what else would have went wrong.
Final Thoughts on the MSR Comp Soxx
Bulky, hot old school motocross socks are unnecessary. Out with the old in with the new… A bunch of brands have hybrid mx socks like this. If you’re in need of new some moto socks or knee brace sleeves I recommend buying some socks like this from your favorite brand.
